Solid wood flooring uses a 3/4 inch solid portion of the tree as compared to MAGNEWOOD which only uses either 1/8 or 1/4 of solid wood while maintaining the same surface appearance.

Engineered Hardwood flooring can use the same wood wear layer as our MAGNEWOOD but most manufacturers use wood or plywood base construction, which requires that important steps need to be taken to ensure that the bond between veneer and base is  very strong.

Magnewood Green  Flooring does not have these issues at this step because the base is a core of stone/wood pulp composite and therefore is extremely stable.
